Getting Started
Take time to understand what the National History Day project is, the types of projects you may choose from, and the resources that are available to you (especially the National History Day website).

Keep a list of any questions that arise as you are learning about NHD and the project parameters. Make time to ask your teacher or your Teacher Librarian these questions or to clarify anything that is unclear to you.

Make sure you spend time looking at the relevant due dates and schedule your time accordingly.

CLICK HERE to see more information on the different types of categories you may choose for the format of your project. Your project may be a documentary, exhibit, paper, performance, or website. Make sure you have clicked on the corresponding orange tile to see information about the project category in which you are interested.

Research, Sources, and Annotations
There is no single, direct path to research. It can be done in a variety of different ways. However you decide to organize your research process, please keep track of what sources you think you may use in your final product.

Our Gale databases allow us to directly export citations into Noodle Tools. Watch this video to learn how.
